after the mold has been made, a "check casting" is done with tinted resin to make sure the mold reproduces all the details of the original item.

on the left side is the reproduction and on the right side is the original.

here is an interesting exemple of different colors and textures.

1- is made of white resin tinted with black pigment.
2- is made of a slow set Crytal Clear resin that intraps a lot of air when exposed to humidity
